In this step you activate the product hierarchy (S&P) and make global settings.

You must refer to the notes in the Release notes before activating the product hierarchy (S&P)

To use the product hierarchy (S&P), proceed as follows:

  • Choose the "Product Hierarchy (S&P ) Active" setting to activate this globally. You must also select the sales areas for which the product hierarchy (S&P) is to be valid in the "Sales Area-Dependent Settings" under "Define Sales Areas for the Product Hierarchy (S&P)".

The following settings can also be made:

  • Select the "Duplicates Allowed" setting if you want to assign several IS-M business partners to a product.
  • Select the "Identical Product Assignment for External Business Partner Dialog Box" if you want to assign all selected products for the external business partner (S&P) to the relevant IS-M business partners in the "Link table" worklist or in step 2 of the product selection.
  • Select the "Duplicates for Provisional Products" setting if you want to assign several provisional products to an external product (S&P).
  • Select the "Update Provisional Products: Validity Start = Validity Start of Provisional Product" setting to change the validity start for changed assignments in the link table to the existing provisional product as a result of the 'new' external product (S&P). If you do not choose this setting, the entry date in the "Provisional Products" worklist is used as the validity start.
