SAP E-Book

As of Release 4.64, you can classify the contact person (class type J13, contact person object key) and/or the contact person relationship (class type J14, business partner and contact person object key) if you are using the SAP business partner. The existing J12 classification for the media contact person can no longer be used once contact person migration has taken place.

In this step you migrate the media contact person classification (class type J12) into the classification for the SAP business partner in the contact person role (class type J13) and/or the classification for the contact person relationship (class type J14).

To do so, perform the following steps in the sequence described below:

  1. Create JJCPCLASSCONV selection table
  2. Maintain JJCPCLASSCONV selection table
  3. Copy classes
  4. Copy classifications

Create JJCPCLASSCONV selection table

The RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_FILL_CUST_TAB report is used to copy classes in the J12 class type into the JJCPCLASSCONV table. By selecting the J13 Select contact person and/or J14 Select contact person relationship indicators, you control whether a class and its corresponding contact person assignments in the J13 class type (contact person) and/or J14 class type (contact person relationship) is to be migrated.

Maintain JJCPCLASSCONV selection table

Check the entries that have been generated in the JJCPCLASSCONV table and maintain any missing entries (using transaction SM30).

Copy classes

The RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_COPY_CLASSES report is used to copy classes from the J12 class type into the J13 and/or J14 class type. The system also copies the characteristic assignments in these classes. If the characteristics involved have been restricted to the J12 class type (meaning that they can only be used for this class type), this restriction is also extended to the J13 or J14 class types.

Copy classifications

The RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_CLASSIFICATION report is used to copy assignments for the media contact person from the J12 class type into the assignments for the J13 and/or J14 class type. The report reads the media contact person, assigned business partner and the SAP business partner number created by the migration process in the JJTAM table.

Delete assignments/classes/assignment table (optional)

The RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_DEL_CLASSIFICAT report is used to delete the entries generated by the RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_FILL_CUST_TAB, RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_COPY_CLASSES and RJJ_MD_CP_CONV_CLASSIFICATION reports and then repeat the migration process.

You can delete all entries simultaneously by selecting all of the selection parameters. All data levels created using this report can also be deleted separately. However, to do so, you must reverse the sequence and start with the classifications, followed by the classes and then the transfer table.

One class type (J13/J14) can be deleted separately (classifications, classes). The transfer table is always deleted completely here.

CAUTION: The system always deletes all classifications/classes in the J13/J14 class type. This includes any entries that were created manually.

Miscellaneous

Steps can be repeated if a program termination occurs. Records that already exist are skipped and a message to this effect is displayed in the application log. The system creates any records that do not yet exist here.
