In this step, you make the settings for the SAP business partner based on the settings in IS-M. You also create the assignments for the settings at the same time.

Forms of address, titles, prefixes and suffixes are determined in central address management and used for all addresses. This means these Customizing tables normally already contain entries and are therefore not initialized in the first step in migration. If the tables already contain entries, the assignments to IS-M Customizing are set up using these descriptions. If the tables do not contain any entries, they are composed from IS-M Customizing.

The settings for the SAP business partner should have been initialized.

After performing this activity, check the settings and assignments generated.

  • Check that the SAP BP Customizing entries are correct under Cross-Application Components → SAP Business Partner in the Implementation Guide.
  • Check that the conversion Customizing entries are correct under Tools → Business Partner Migration to SAP BP → Definition of IS-M and SAP Business Partner Settings.

Correct the settings generated if necessary.

If the SAP BP Customizing table is empty, the Customizing settings are set up on the basis of those made for the IS-M business partner. You must always convert role categories. The conversion is defined by SAP. Only role categories created in the customer name space are processed like the other Customizing tables.
