ISM_BP_POS - Define Point of Sale Characteristics

In this IMG activity, you define the characteristics of a point of sale (POS). You can describe retailers' points of sale in terms of the following characteristics:

• Category

• Type

• Season indicator

• Retail chains to which a POS can belong and their distribution channels

• Space key

• Geography category

• Internal and external sales influencing factors

• Customer frequency key and its origin

• Scanner cash desk characteristics

• Service types

• Default values for business hours

• Sales aid categories

• Structuring characteristics for sales aids

• Press product types

• Press sales volume keys

You enter each possible specification of a POS characteristic as a key with a corresponding text. You can choose one characteristic specification for each POS characteristic in the retailer's master record.
