SAP E-Book

In this activity, you maintain the profile for the Workflow Inbox (WF_INBOX) component for the application area Customer Interaction Center (CIC).

Use of this component is restricted to the navigation area in the L-shaped CIC framework.

You enter the name of the profile and an explanatory text on the level Workflow Inbox Profile in the view cluster. On the Task Filter level, you can enter any tasks (single- or multi-step tasks) or task groups as a filter. If you do this, the inbox only displays work items that are based on tasks that meet these criteria.

If you do not maintain the filter settings, the inbox displays all the work items that are displayed in the general workflow inbox in the SAP Business Workplace.

To activate the workflow inbox in a CIC profile, add the component WF_INBOX and the profile maintained in this step to a tab page in the application area in the activity Maintain Standard Settings for Navigation and Application Areas.

The task group TG26000001 contains all the SAP standard tasks that can be processed in the CIC.

We recommend that you use the task filter to reduce the number of work items displayed to those that are intended for the CIC context.

While it is possible to execute all work items from the CIC workflow inbox (with a full screen if necessary), including work items that are not needed affects performance when compiling the list.

The system always only displays work items that the user is allowed to process. The task filter is simply an additional means of restricting the quantity of data in the list.
