In this step you define the conflict controls. These are rules used to identify one assignment out of several potential assignments to a billing dataset as qualifying for discount or bonus during contract determination.

Before defining the value of the manual assignment field in the conflict controls, you should define the overwrite rule for these values.

Once you have defined the conflict controls, you must assign a conflict control to each sales area. This conflict control is then used for decision making purposes for orders from this sales area.

Conflict controls K001 to K003 that are supplied with the standard system are based on the fixed rules programmed up to Release 4.01.

Discount conditions from customer bonus contracts and from media-mix contracts are granted by grouping criteria for the first two sort criteria. The grouping criterion in the third sort criterion excludes discounts from other sales areas.

The final criterion XMAN_AUSW has no influence on order entry since none of the temporary assignments are manual. However, during order billing, this indicator is set for a temporary assignment that was selected manually during a conflict in order entry. This means that this assignment will thus be selected again automatically during billing.

The discount transfer indicator for the XQUASI criterion ensures that assignments to system contracts adopt the discount from assignments to standard contracts.
