ISM_PDEX2_POSSUSPEND - Define Types of Suspension

In this activity, you define the types of suspension in the POS planning calendar.

You assign contract types and item categories to each suspension type to define which suspension periods in the POS planning calendar are taken into account in the functions Copy Planning Calendar from Customer to Quantity Planning, Generate Orders for Contracts, and Generate Orders According to Shipping and Transportation Planning. This assignment controls which of the contract items belonging to a point of sale are not supplied during a suspension period.

• If a suspension type is not assigned a contract type or an item category, all the contract items for a point of sale are supplied during the suspension period.

If you want to specify which contract items are supplied in a suspension period according to this activity, you can use the Business Add-In Supply Contracts Despite Suspension in Planning Calendar (ISM_CHECK_SUSPENDTYPE) instead.

You have defined the contract types and item categories.

1. Define a type of suspension and enter a descriptive text.
2. Assign the suspension type all the contract types and item categories that are to be taken into account by the above functions.
