In this Customizing activity, you define the combined stock determination rules. A combined stock determination rule allows you to reuse several basic rules in stock determination.
To define a combined stock determination rule, please proceed as follows:
- Enter an alphanumeric key and an explanatory text for the rule.
- Assign the basic rules to the combined rule. Use the Stock Negation indicator for each basic stock determination rule to specify whether or not the stock determined by the basic rule is negated (see the example below).
You have defined two basic stock determination rules for determining available stock:
- B00 - Available stock at plant 0001 in all storage locations
- B01 - Available stock at plant 0001 in storage location 0001
You want to define a combined stock determination rule C01 to determine the available stock at plant 0001 in all storage locations except 0001.
To do this, create the combined stock determination rule C01 and assign it the two basic rules B00 and B01. If you select the Stock Negation indicator for the basic stock determination rule B01, the available stock at plant 0001 is negated in storage location 0001.
