In this activity, you define the structures for Sales Quantity Planning. By defining a structure, you specify which quantity fields can be used in a quantity planning view. You can also define an update rule for the structure.

The update rules should be defined if you use update rules.

If you use events, you should have specified the quantity fields for events. For more information, see Customizing for Press Distribution under Sales Planning -> Sales Plan -> Planning Structure -> Define Quantity Fields for Events.

To define a structure for Sales Quantity Planning, please proceed as follows:

• Enter an alphanumeric key and an explanatory name for the structure.

• Maintain an optional update rule for the structure.

• You can choose a field group for the event.

• Define the quantity fields in a structure. By doing this, you create the maximum field list of quantity fields that can be used in a substructure and a quantity planning view.

• You also have the option of defining alternative field labels for the structure. In this case, maintain a data element for the quantity field. The system determines the field label from this data element when compiling the quantity planning view. If there is no data element defined in a substructure for a quantity field, the system determines the field labels from the data element for the quantity field in the structure assigned.
