In this step you define the number intervals in the number ranges for the order number.

Each order is created using a unique key. You can define an internal or external number range for assigning the key.

  • If you do not specify a key when creating an order, the system automatically assigns a consecutive number from the internal number range as the key.
  • If you assign a key yourself when creating an order, the system checks your entry against the external number range.

The "Ext" indicator controls whether the respective number range is internal or external.

To define a number range, you should insert a new number range. To do so, please proceed as follows:

  1. Enter an alphanumeric key of up to two characters.
  2. Specify the limits of the number range.
The individual number ranges cannot overlap. Therefore, each number can only appear once.
  3. Set the "Ext" indicator for external number range intervals.
