In this step you define the number intervals in the
Each service is created under a unique key. You can define an internal or external number range for assigning these keys.
- If you do not specify a key when you create a service, the system assigns a consecutive number from the internal number range automatically.
- If you assign the key yourself when you create a service, the system checks your entry against the external number range.
The Ext indicator determines whether a number range is internal or external.
To define a number range, you must insert a new number interval. The procedure is as follows:
- Enter an alphanumeric key of up to two characters.
- Define the range of the number interval. Individual number intervals must not overlap. A number can only be used once in each number range.
- Select the Ext indicator for external number range intervals.
You should then define the number range usage for the service number range object (ISP_DIEN).
