We bought 380 GB of disk space to anticipate an anual growt of the database of
about 350 GB. But now we are using the free space for temp storage.

We let the system auto IPL when the dasd gets full (99%)
CHGSYSVAL SYSVAL(QSTGLOWLMT) VALUE(1) 5 := 1 %
CHGSYSVAL SYSVAL(QSTGLOWACN) VALUE(*PWRDWNSYS)

Yes, several times, which some over ight when the batch job was running
But thanks to this forum we implemented the following sap parameters which ends
every work process after 3 hours. So temp storage is released every 3 hours,
which gives us just enough free space to keep on going
The parameters are:
rdisp/noptime 11000
rdisp/wp_auto_restart 11005
This does help but is a little rude.

We are investigating the problem (and they really are)

Huh
