AS/400 Interactive CPW or Batch CPW?????
SAP does not run in interactive mode on the AS/400 (all jobs being either batchor batch immediate) and therefore only the total CPW of a system should be
considered.
We run with a 730-2066 with the base interactive feature for our database server
and a SB1-2311 for our application server in a 3-tier environment for SAP/HR.
The only time that you need any interactive CPU is applying kernel patches and
we run these on the console and with the base interactive feature on the
730-2066 they do not run excessively long.

Hello everybody,
I have a question on SAP R/3 and IBM AS/400..........
for SAP R/3 is important the interactive CPW power or only the batch power
relevant is (CPU TOTAL CPW) ???????
Please note: we have the database server and application server on the same
IBM AS/400 Model 730!!
