Parallel Backup & Restore fails
Hi Group,I am having a problem I can't get an explaination for, but I need that
function get running until coming weekend.
I performed a BRMS controlled parallel Backup on our PRD-machine (740) using
two 3590 devices. Backup finnished successful, writing 10 volumes. Then I
started a BRMS controlled parallel Restore on DEV-machine (S40) using the
same devices. Both machines are V4R4 (OS/400 & BRMS). After laoding the
first two cartridges restore began as expected.
When the second tape was requested on device TAP05, media M00090 (which has
been restored as first volume!!) has been mounted again (according to
Joblog), and the restore stopped with msg CPA4268, which said that the wrong
media sequence was on TAP05 ("On device TAP05 Media M00090 has been mounted
for file QSYSTAP in QSYS with sequence no. 2 of mediagroup M00090, which
doesn't contain the continuiation for input file. The expected media has
sequence no. 1 of mediagroup M00090...."). I cancelled the restore.

In December last year I tested parallel backup and restore on one machine
successful, so I assume, it could have something to do with shared BRMS?
Does anybody form the group know this problem? Any input would be greatly
appreciated.
