IFS File in ASCII Format out of SAP

Oliver,

Sorry, I don't have a lot of experience with this issue, but in the absence
of a better reply...

I don't think it's possible to transfer in ASCII mode, since it's the AS/400
that is creating the EBCDIC file. However, if you use FTP to transfer the
file from the AS/400 (in ASCII mode), it will create the target file in
ASCII.

Subject: IFS File in ASCII Format out of SAP

Hi all,

We wrote an ABAP report which writes data to an IFS file with the command
TRANSFER. The created IFS file has EBCDIC code. Has anybody an idea how to
write data to this file in ASCII format?
