we had this at a customer, that had similar problems, when the AS/400 where the trans-dir is located, was IPLed before the other once. When it was IPLed as last one there was no problem. I don't know the solution for this issue. But when possible you might give it a chance to IPL the trans-dir box now and remove and add the as0001 link afterwards again. It shouldn't have something to do with the uppercase and lowercase as qfilesvr.400 is NOT casesensitive.
