Homogeneous System Copy / different "to" client
Hi Paul,The client itself is about 40 GB. The complete PRD DB is about 73 GB.
Whenever I try to run in test mode, it fails because it says the source
client was not specified. I specify the source client every where I can,
including the remote log on to the source client. However when I get to the
last screen (after print parameters and after it's already submitted) the
source client is blank. My entries from sm59 are the same. I am perplexed.

Dear Rick,
Is the client istself 40 GB, or is the complete SAP PRD DB 40 GB?
Our DB is about 145 GB with several clients.
I don't know how big the copied client was, but it took 6 hours to copy from
a 830-8 way to a 720-2 way.
Copying to a new client is faster than overwriting a current client.
Can you not yust try it out to a test client, and see how long it takes?
(don't forget to reorganize the SAP DB after the client delete afterwards)
