Functionality

This function module sends a tendering alert to the SAP APO Alert Monitor.

It can be used within rule activities and expected event monitor activities.

  • Parameter-1: Enter the alert type that you want to send. The following five alert types are available:
  • 1. Transport order rejected by transportation service provider

  • 2. Proposed date changed by transportation service provider

  • 3. Transferred shipment: Proposed date changed by transportation service provider

  • 4. Transferred shipment: Transport order rejected by transportation service provider

  • 5. No transportation service provider response

  • Parameter-2: Enter the SAP APO shipment GUID or a metadata tag to retrieve the value.
  • Parameter-3(optional): Enter the SAP APO transportation service provider GUID or a metadata tag to retrieve the value.
  • Parameter-4(optional): Enter the name of the SAP APO system (application system ID maintained in transaction /SAPTRX/TSC0AS). If you leave the parameter empty, the alert is sent to the RFC destination of the application system assigned to your application object type.

Return code:

  • 0 - SAP APO alert created successfully
  • 2 - SAP APO alert was previously posted for this event message
  • 4 - One or more parameters are missing
  • 6 - Function module /SAPAPO/AMON_VS_ALERTS_SET does not exist in the destination system
  • 8 - Error while calling the function module in SAP APO system

Note: If the alert is not created in the local system, you must set the BAPI commit indicator.

Notes

If the alert is created successfully, you can see the new entries in table /SAPAPO/AM_ALERTin the SAP APO system.

If you use this activity in your scenario, make sure that any alerts used are not created differently.
