Parameter : rdisp/test_roll
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Short description: activate sap roll test
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter description :
-----------------------
This parameter is only required for SAP-internal tests. It should
therefore not be changed by customers or in production systems.

You can use the parameter to change the behavior of the kernel with
regard to the processing of user sessions. Normally, during the
handling of a request, the associated session is linked with the
work process that is handling the request. This is known as "roll
in". Correspondingly, after the processing of the request, the
session is separated from the processing work process again ("roll
out"). You can now change this behavior in the following ways:

- Forced roll: successive requests that belong to the same session
are processed in different work processes. This allows you to
explicitly check the roll behavior. You can activate this behavior
with the following parameter value:
rdisp/test_roll = FORCE_ROLL
- No roll: to simulate a "roll free" server, you can deactivate the
roll. Sessions are then permanently linked with the work
processes, and after processing, the work processes go into
the status "waiting", with the wait reason "PRIV". Note that this
mode requires significantly more dialog work processes. Since the
other work processes (UPD, BTC, and so on) do not roll, their
behavior remains unchanged. You can activate this behavior with
the following parameter value: rdisp/test_roll = NO_ROLL.
For this variant, you can also define an upper limit for the
maximum number of active dialog processes. This means that you can
also test the influence of the operating system with regard to
process management. You can define an upper limit as follows:
rdisp/test_roll = NO_ROLL, DIA_TOKEN = <number>. Example:
rdisp/test_roll = NO_ROLL, DIA_TOKEN = 5
With this setting, a maximum of 5 dialog work processes process a
request at the same time.
