------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter : vmcj/vm_auto_restart
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Short Description : Automatic VM restart
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter description :
-----------------------
This parameter determines whether a VM is to be automatically
ended. This can be useful to temporarily correct errors (such as
memory leaks). The restart is performed either after a specified
limit has expired or when the "old generation" occupancy of the Java
heaps exceeds a specified threshold value.

You can also use this parameter to configure that VMs that must
contribute to a shared garbage collection (SGC) and which are
currently in the pool are ended. This only takes effect, however,
if VM cloning is active (see parameter %%vmcj/cloning%% ).
In the case of large volumes of data, the SGC takes a
correspondingly long time. Therefore, ending the VM and recloning it
can deliver performance advantages.

This parameter should only be set if SAP recommends you do so.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Application Area : VMC
------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unit :

syntax:
| vmcj/vm_auto_restart = <reason>* | <reason> , <reason>*
| <reason> = [<time value>] | [<OldGen Limit>] | [BEFORE_SGC]
| <time value> = TIME=<number> [ H|M]
| <OldGen Limit> = OLD_GEN=<number>

You can define the time value with or without a time unit. If you do
not specify a time unit, the system uses seconds as the unit.
Alternatively, you can specify M for minutes or H for hours. There
can be spaces between the value and the unit. The value 0 means that
no restart is to take place using a time limit.

The OldGen limit is a percentage between 0 and 100 %.

Examples:
OLD_GEN=95 -> end VM, if the old generation is more than
95 percent occupied
TIME=1H -> end VM if the VM is more than one hour
old
TIME=1H, OLD_GEN=90 -> end VM if the VM is more than one hour old
or the old generation is more than 90%
occupied
BEFORE_SGC -> end VM if it is in the pool, must
contribute to an SGC, and VM cloning is
active

The value 0 % means that the old generation occupation should not be
used to end any VMs.

Default Value : Empty, that is, no VMs are automatically ended
