Rules-based ATP check: Determine and Evaluate Rules

In a rules-based ATP check the rule evaluation can be influenced by this enhancement. The enhancement can be activated if the evaluation controls implemented do not satisfy the business requirements.

The influence exerted can lead to two different points in time in the rule evaluation:

  • Time 1: Before determination of the rules
Before the rules are determined the parameters, used to select the rules, can be changed (function module EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLATPR_001).
During a rule evaluation, this point in time can be reached several times. Note that for same entries the same modifications will be carried out.
  • Time 2: After evaluation of the rules
After evaluation of the rules the result of rule evaluation can be postprocessed (function module EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLATPR_002).
This point in time is always reached if the evaluation of the rules has delivered substitutions for the requested location product for which an availability check can be carried out, that is, the point in time can be passed through several times per requirement.

An initialization, which is called once per requirement, can result for both points in time.

For more information on the parameters of the function modules, see the respective function module documentation.
