You can use this enhancement in configuration functions to define the access strategy for a variant table.

You can choose one of the following strategies:
a) The entire variant table is available for finding objects.
b) The search path for database access is defined in the find objects
function itself.

If the variant table is not especially large, and different combinations of values are used in the queries, use strategy a).

If the variant table is large, or if there are not many different combinations of values, it may be better to use strategy b).

When you use variant tables, always check whether the information in the table would be better stored in a transparent table of your own. You can easily replace variant table calls in dependencies with function calls.
