This function module opens and formats processing of your own object (and object tables, etc.). In various parameters, the calling program defines how the object is processed and how it behaves. The OPEN function module puts any data belonging to this object in the object data (therefore they 'belong' to the calling program). There is no object-specific data in the local memory of the function group. The calling function gives the object data as a reference to any other function modules that are used to process the object that has just been opened.
