Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A media error occurred while writing labels or data near the beginning of the tape on device &3. The file being processed is &1 in library &2. The volume probably contains a partial file. If it is used again without being initialized, the tape may run off the end of the reel. The tape cannot be used and should be initialized again using the Initialize Tape (INZTAP) command with the CHECK(*NO) option.
Recovery . . . : Either type C to cancel, or load another tape and type R to try again.
Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
C -- Cancel processing.
R -- Try the volume open again.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : To prevent run away, initialize the tape using the Initialize Tape (INZTAP) command with the CHECK(*NO) option. Error Log ID &22.
