Error while reading labels on device &3. (C R INZ)

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A media error occurred while reading labels on volume &4 on device &3. The tape may contain data or fragments of data written in a density or format that the device does not support. The file being processed is &1 in library &2.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following:
-- Type C to cancel.
-- Load a different tape and type R to try again.
-- Type INZ to initialize the tape.
Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
C -- Cancel processing.
R -- Try volume open again.
INZ -- Initialize the loaded volume.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : Initialize the tape with the CHECK(*NO) option. Error log ID &22.
