Cause . . . . . : The inactivity timer expired on a switched asynchronous communications line. The inactivity timer is the length of time that the system waits for activity on a switched line before disconnecting. The timer is started when a switched connection is established and ended when any data is transmitted or received. Setting this value too low can result in unnecessary loss of sessions.
Recovery . . . : The inactivity timer value can be changed while the line is varied off by using the Change Line Description (Async) (CHGLINASC) command and changing the inactivity timer (INACTTMR) parameter.
If the problem continues, report the problem (ANZPRB command).
Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
C -- Cancel recovery and inform any applications that are waiting for an operation that the recovery has been canceled.
G -- Start the automatic communications recovery again as defined by the communications recovery limit (CMNRCYLMT) configured for line &23.
R -- Try the operation one more time.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The error log identifier is &22.
The error code is &40: Inactivity timeout on a switched line. No data was sent or received in the given time interval.
