Controller &24 does not support X.21 SHM. (C R)

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The probable causes are:
-- The remote system is not configured for X.21 short hold mode (SHM)
-- The remote system does not support X.21 SHM.
-- The wrong remote system was called.
Recovery . . . : Do one or more of the following:
-- Use the Display Controller Description (DSPCTLD) command to verify the connection number (CNNNBR parameter).
-- Ask the remote system operator to verify that the remote system is configured for X.21 SHM.
If the problem continues, press F14 to run problem analysis.
To increase the maximum number of remote systems that can use the line at the same time, use the appropriate change line description command to change the maximum number of controllers (MAXCTL parameter).
Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
C -- Cancel recovery and inform any applications that are waiting for an operation that the recovery has been canceled.
R -- Try again one more time.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The error code is &40. The error codes and their meanings follow:
26002700 -- Frame received from remote system is not an exchange identifier (XID).
26002706 -- Remote system is not SHM capable. The XID received has the short hold indicator (SHI) off.
