Cause . . . . . : A value that is not valid was specified for item number &1 in specification type &2. The literal value is not valid for reason code &3. The reason codes and their meanings follow:
1 -- The value is not numeric or is numeric but is too large for the receiver.
2 -- A numeric value contains greater than 63 total digits.
3 -- A floating-point value has a significand that is not valid.
4 -- A floating-point value has too many exponent digits.
5 -- A floating-point value has an exponent that is not valid.
6 -- A floating-point special value that was not valid was specified.
8 -- Floating-point overflow.
9 -- Floating-point underflow.
10 -- Floating-point conversion not valid.
11 -- Floating-point result not exact.
12 -- The length of a value was greater than 32,766 bytes.
13 -- The length of a character or double-byte value was too short after delimiters were removed.
14 -- A character value was missing a starting or ending delimiter.
15 -- The length of a double-byte value was too short.
16 -- The value is not character or graphic.
17 -- The CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) is not a recognized CCSID or is not correct for the type of literal.
18 -- The CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) for the value requires that the value be converted. However, the value cannot be converted because it contains double-byte data.
19 -- The date literal is not valid.
20 -- The time literal is not valid.
21 -- The timestamp literal is not valid.
22 -- The format or separator for the date literal is not valid.
23 -- The format or separator for the time literal is not valid.
24 -- The format or separator for the timestamp literal is not valid.
25 -- The length of a variable length literal was greater than 32,740 bytes.
26 -- The double-byte literal is not valid.
27 -- The length of a value was greater than 15,728,640 bytes.
28 -- The result of applying the sort sequence table to the literal was greater than 32,742 bytes.
Specification type 1 indicates record selection, type 2 indicates group by selection, type 3 indicates query record format derivation, and type 4 indicates case selection. If the specification type is for record format derivation, the field with the value that is not valid is &4, and the value that is not valid is &5.
