Sort sequence cannot be applied. Reason code &4.

Cause . . . . . : Sort sequence table &2 in library &3 cannot be applied for reason code &4. The reason codes and their meanings follow:
1 -- The result of applying the sort sequence table to field &1 is greater than 32,742 bytes.
2 -- The sort sequence table cannot be applied to the following functions: LOCATE, POSITION and POSSTR.
3 -- The sort sequence table cannot be applied to a LIKE predicate or %WLDCRD function.
Recovery . . . : Sort sequence table &2 is an International Components of Unicode (ICU) table. Recovery for reason code 1: ICU sort sequence table results are longer than the fields they operate on. If the field can contain SBCS data, the result of applying the sort sequence table can be 6 times the length of the field. Applying this sort sequence table to a DBCS field can be 3 times the length of the field. Either specify a smaller field or a non-ICU type sort sequence table. Recovery for the other reason codes: Either omit the function or specify a non-ICU type of sort sequence table.
