Total length of join fields must be 2000 or less.

Cause . . . . . : The total length of all the secondary file fields used in the join tests must be 2000 bytes or less when the type of join is either matched records with primary file or unmatched records with primary file.
If the Len column is not shown in the list of fields, press F11 to see the field lengths. Move the cursor to the bottom part of the display to roll the fields up or down. Note that the field length for a double-byte character set (DBCS)-graphic field is given in number of double-byte characters, so multiply by two to get the equivalent number of bytes. For example, a DBCS-graphic field with length 25 counts as 50 bytes toward the 2000-byte limit.
Recovery . . . : Type the names of join fields with combined lengths of no more than 2000 bytes.
