SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you can define links to own reports for the Launchpad (ABAP) service to integrate them directly into the user interface of SAP Global Batch Traceability (SAP GBT).

  • You have created a new report in the customer namespace using Executable program as the report type.
On the SAP Easy Access menu choose Tools -> ABAP Workbench-> Development -> ABAP Editor. The report must provide input parameter P_HANDLE of type MEMORY_ID. This parameter receives a handle that points to a database table. The database table is filled with object IDs from the user interface when the user selects objects and requests to execute the report.
  • You have created a transaction for the new report.
You must define the transaction type as a report transaction by choosing Program and selection screen (report transaction) as the start object.
On the SAP Easy Access Menu, choose Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Development -> Other Tools -> Transactions.

To include an own report in the user interface, you must change the SAP version of the GBT launchpad delivered as standard. All applications that are already linked are displayed in the left navigation tree.

To add your report, choose New Application and then proceed as follows:

  1. Under Link Details, enter the link text that you want displayed as the name of your report on the user interface.
  2. Under Application Type, choose Transaction.
    The system displays additional fields:
  • Under Application Parameter, enter the transaction code you created.

  • Under System, choose SAP_LocalSystem as the system alias.

You must define the following optional parameters. Choose Show Advanced (Optional) Parameters.
The system displays additional fields.

  1. Under Application-Related Parameters, make the following entries:
  • Under Application Alias, enter an abbreviation for your report.

  • Under Target App. Parameters, choose Parameter Mapping.

  1. Under Batch Input, enter the name of your report and the dynpro number of the selection screen. The default number is 1000. Select Forward only the following parameters.
  2. Under Options for Call Transaction, choose Display errors as the processing mode and Asynchronous as the update mode. In addition, select Not Completed by COMMIT and No Batch Input for CALL Trans.
  3. Insert a row in the table and enter HANDLE_ID as the source parameter and P_HANDLE as the target parameter.
  4. Continue.
  • Under GUI Type, choose SAP GUI for HTML.

  1. Under Entries Following Start of Application -> Entries Once Started, choose Skip Initial Screen if Possible.
  2. Under Portal Parameters -> Navigation Mode, choose EXT_HEAD Headerless Portal Window.

Save the launchpad.

You can access your report on the SAP GBT user interface.

The first time you change the delivered launchpad, a new version of the launchpad is generated. This new version is then always used instead of the SAP version. If you want to access the SAP version of the launchpad, in this Customizing activity, choose Extras -> Show SAP Version.
