UA_RFC_PDCE_NODE_CHANGE - Change node (Master Data)

Funktionalität

This function module allows the change of a node Master Data.

Data can be changed either on the node, or the corresponding object or on both node and object level. For the corresponding object, only the non key fields can be changed.

The new data for the object and node have to be provided respectively in IS_OBJECT and IS_NODE.

IS_OBJECT is a mandatory field and IS_NODE is an optional field, therefore the Object has to be provided for selection purpose, even if the changes are on Node level only.

The Object selection is based either on its key-fields or on the combination Object ID (FOBJ_OBJECT_ID) / Object Type (FOBJ_TYPE_NAME). These fields can not be changed.

All the other Object fields (for parameter IS_OBJECT) are considered as the new Object field Values. Therefore these non keyfields values will override the Object field values and therefore extra care must be considered when entering the Object DATA.

The Node structure (IS_NODE) holds no keyfields and therefore all the Node values will be considered as new values when this structure is provided. Node fields Object ID (FOBJ_OBJECT_ID) / Object Type (FOBJ_TYPE_NAME) corresponds to the corresponding object values and will not be updated. The existing Node will be retrieved based on the combination FOBJ_OBJECT_ID) / (FOBJ_TYPE_NAME). This combination can be provided or not. If these values are not provided and the node fields are empty, no changes will be made on the node, otherwise when this combination is provided all node values will be considered as new values

The new object and node values are returned respectively in tables ES_OBJECT and ES_NODE.
