Technical description . . . . . . . . : The following table shows the pool identifier, the maximum fault rate over all the intervals, the fault rate guideline, the number of intervals where thrashing may have occurred out of &6 intervals, and the date and time the maximum fault rate occurred.

Thrashing occurs when the wait-to-ineligible ratio is high, and the fault rate exceeded or approached the guideline of &2. This may mean that the activity level was set too high and/or the pool is too small. This results in a condition where multiple jobs steal each others pages, but can't use the page before it's stolen by another job. The result is that no jobs can get work done. Decreasing the activity level and/or adding storage will reduce this thrashing.
