Report Writer: Text variables for master data long texts

Beschreibung

You can normally store both short and long descriptions for master data. In the Report Writer, you can print the short text with text variables of type %-FTEXT or %-TTEXT. In this case, is the field name.

You can now print the long text, if available, with analog text variables of type %-FTXTL or %-TTXTL.

Example from cost center accounting (application CO-CCA)

The number and long description of the current cost center are to be printed in the headers. To do this, enter the following:

Cost Center....... %KOSTL-F         %KOSTL-FTXTL

If no long text exists, the short text is printed.
