Report Writer: Deleting generated programs
Beschreibung
When a report group is generated, a series of programs are created. These programs read the necessary data and create the reports.
A large number of report groups are usually created for test purposes. This means that a large number of generated programs can exist which are not used or only very rarely. Since there are alot of programs, they needlessly take up storage space.
Furthermore, the number of generated programs per report group has been reduced for Release 2.1. As a result, there are programs which are no longer used in your system.
Using program RGRDLINC, you can delete all programs generated by the Report Writer in all clients of the system. Since all report and report group definitions remain the same, you can create the programs at any time by regenerating the report groups.
After deleting the programs, the relevant report groups are set to the status 'Generation required'. If you then output one of these report groups, it is regenerated automatically.
Alternatively, you can generate the report groups used regularly using the mass generator (transaction Execute Report Group, function 'Utilities' -> 'Mass generator').

You can execute the deletion program using transaction Execute Report Group, function 'Utilities' -> 'Delete programs'. If you start the program, a pop-up window appears asking you whether you want to run the program online or in batch. Since the program can take a long time to run, it is advisable to execute it in batch.
