Entry of the variation range at the time of selection
You can now change the from and to levels specified in the report definition for the variation range on the initial screen of the selection program. However, you can only limit and not extend the variation range. As a result, you can use a different variation range for each selection run without having to regenerate the report group.

Output of the individual report on the department printer (currently only for CO reports)
When printing the complete report group, you can now output each varied individual report to a separate printer. However, this function is currently only available for CO reports which are varied via the cost center or the order.

Authorization check for each individual report (currently only for CO reports)
With you output CO reports which were varied by cost center, and which are drawn from a stored dataset, the system now performs an authorization check for each individual report. The system checks whether the user is authorized to display the cost center or the representative cost center of the cost center group.

Text variables with new meaning
The text variables %-T and % -TTEXT now have a different meaning in connection with varied fields. For a hierarchy node (set header), % -T specifies the representative value of the node, and % -TTEXT the corresponding master data text.
The text variables %VARIND and %VARINDS now also specify the index of the individual report online if more than one field is varied.

To use the authorization check for cost centers, authorizations have to be created for the authorization object K_REPO_CCA (CO: Reporting on cost centers / cost elements) with activity 29 (Reporting - Stored data).

Entry of the variation range at the time of selection
When defining a report in which variation is to be carried out for one or more dimensions, you have to specify the maximum variation range possible in the data selection. You would normally set the from-level to 1 and the to-level to 99.
When you run the selection program, you can limit the range specified in the report definition. For each field which is varied in a report of the report group, there is - as in the report definition- an entry field for the from-level and the to-level on the initial screen of the selection program. If the from-level was set to 1 in the report definition, the system takes the value 1 as both the from level and the to level on the initial screen of the selection program. With these default values, the report is the same as a report without variation of the selection. In all other cases, the system takes the values from the report definition. A blank entry field uses the value from the report definition. The range entered must be within the range defined in the report definition. The following table lists the possible values for the from-level and to-level on the selection screen, dependent on the values specified in the report definition (n and m represent figures between 1 and 99):

Output of the individual report on the department printer (currently only for CO reports)
When printing CO reports (table CCSS) on output medium 3 (new), the individual reports are output to the department printer defined for the cost center. However, reports will only be output to the department printer if the individual report can be uniquely assigned to a cost center, and if the department printer is maintained for this cost center. For hierarchy nodes, a representative cost center must therefore be entered. For order reports, the responsible cost center must also be entered for each order. If these conditions are not met for the individual report, it will be output to the printer specified at the start of the report group.

Authorization check for each individual report (currently only for CO reports)
This function currently only affects CO reports (table CCSS) which contain a cost center hierarchy in the data selection. In this case, it is not important whether or not variation is carried out via the cost center. In order that the authorization check can also be performed for the cost center groups during variation, a representative cost center must be defined for each cost center group. The user must have authorization for the authorization object 'K_REPO_CCA' (reporting on cost centers / cost elements) with activity 29 (reporting - stored data). If you have not maintained a representative cost center for a cost center group of the hierarchy, you must have authorization for all cost centers in orderto be able to view the individual report.
