Function enhancement for Property Accumulation Saving

  • Infotype conversion
You can use Saving Plans Infotype (infotype 0169) of Benefits module in order to handle Property Accumulation Saving (PAS) from release 4.5A. Since new functionality is more flexible than old one, SAP recommends you to convert data from Property Accumulation Saving JP (infotype 0144) to Saving Plans infotype (infotype 0169).
Property Accumulation Saving JP (infotype 0144) is still supported in this functional release 4.5A and in the associated quality release 4.5B. Property Accumulation Saving JP (infotype 0144) will also be supported in the next functional release and quality release following 4.5B. After this it will be de-activated. However, if you used Property Accumulation Saving JP (infotype 0144), you would activate its payroll function P0144 because it is commented out as default setting.
  • Benefit payment list is provided for deduction list of property accumulation saving.
You can use Benefits Payment Reports, not to mention remuneration statement to check deduction result. If you use Property Accumulation Saving JP (infotype 0144), you have to use old deduction list which you can find in the reporting tree HRJP.
Deduction list is still supported in this functional release 4.5A and in the associated quality release 4.5B. Deduction list will also be supported in the next functional release and quality release following 4.5B. After this it will be de-activated.

Function enhancement for Life insurance

  • Y.E.A. Data JP (infotype 0146) is enhanced to improve usability and business process of YEA. There are following six tabstrips.
  • Life insurance : You can enter Y.E.A. data from LINC service.

  • Personal pension insurance : You can enter Y.E.A. data from LINC service.

  • Casualty insurance : You can enter Y.E.A. data from Casualty insurance company.

  • Spouses income

  • Housing deduction

  • Adjustment

  • The Insurance Fee Deduction Statement use YEA data JP (infotype0146)
Up to 4.0B, this statement has used Ins. Y.E.T.A. Data JP (infotype 0162) as an input source. But from 4.5A on new statement use Y.E.A. Data JP (infotype 0146) instead.
Therefore, data entered into Ins. Y.A.T.A.Data JP will no longer be evaluated. And Y.E.T.A. Data JP (infotype 0162) itself is still supported in this functional release 4.5A and in the associated quality release 4.5B. Y.E.T.A. Data JP (infotype 0162) will also be supported in the next functional release and quality release following 4.5B. After this it will be de-activated.
  • Following feature was deleted.
  • 22YEA,,( determining wage type model (default wage types) for infotype Y.E.A. data (JP) )

Decide which companies, such as banks and insurance companies, are customers Providers of PAS was stored in table T5JBK up to 40B. The data in T5JBK should be moved to Benefit Provider table properly from PAS perspective and financial perspective.

Decide which combination of subtype of infotype 0144 and bank is customers benefit plan. Each plan should be made on the basis of each combination of these two. In addition, the customers must define benefit plan, its employee contribution rule, and its criteria. For example Contribution Period (the frequency of the cost calculation.)

Benefits Administration --> Flexible administration

Benefits Administration --> Toolset --> Conversion for property accumulation

SAP provides conversion objects in tool set section of IMG, such as utility reports and a conversion table. You can use them as they are as long as you have used intact PAS functionality until now. If you haven't, you must copy the utility reports as customer objects and modify them accordingly.
  • Conversion table
SAP provides customers with a utility report. It defines the key fields in conversion table from infotype 0144 automatically. After that, you manually set benefit area and plan to the conversion table.
  • Conversion
Before this conversion, you must confirm that infotype 0169 and 0171 are possible to change in the past without triggering retroactive payroll in IMG. After confirmation, you can convert data by using another utility report provided. It has four processes for infotype conversion as follows.
  1. Simulate infotype conversion
As a result of conversion simulation, the following simulation log is displayed. If you defined incorrect data in the conversion table, you must maintain the data and submit utility report again.
  • Subtype and text in infotype 0144

  • Bank code and bank name in infotype 0144

  • Number of saving contract for infotype0144

  • Converted Benefit area and text

  • Converted benefit plan and text

  • Number of converted saving contract for infotype0169

  • Number of existed saving contract for infotype0169

  • Not matched contract

Compare Number of record infotype 0144(subtype/bank) and number of record infotype 0169(benefit area/plan). If they are difference, Unmatch is output.
  • Inconvertible fields and number of them

When infotype0169 does not have the counterparts of the fields converted, (e.g. in case of your fields in the append structure of infotype0144, etc.), you must add the corresponding fields in infotype0169 and modify conversion logic if they would like to convert the inconvertible fields to infotype0169.
  1. Delete infotype 0169 records
All Japanese records of infotype 0169 are deleted.
  1. Convert infotype
As a result of conversion, the following conversion log is displayed.
  • Subtype and text in infotype 0144

  • Bank code and bank name in infotype 0144

  • Number of saving contract for infotype0144

  • Converted Benefit area and text

  • Converted benefit plan and text

  • Number of converted saving contract for infotype0169

  1. Delete infotype 0144 records
All Japanese records of infotype 0144 are deleted.
