In this step, wagetypes for the employee whose work schedule rule is flextime work. The begin time of normal working time and end time of normal working time are set for flextime work employee. If core time is defined, employee have to at least work between start of core time and end of core time. But outside core time, employee can decide start of work and end of work. However, during payroll period (month payroll for example), employee have to work for planned working hours.

Schedule working hour 7.5h (standard setting) during a day.
Core time 11:00 AM -14:00 PM.
  • 11:00 AM - 14:00 PM are time that the employee should work.

Normal over time on weekday : A
Hours of compensatory day off on weekday : B

If D is less than zero, then Flextime balance shortage is D.
  • If Flextime balance shortage occur, specified hours can be carried over to next period without deduction. This upper limit of hours for carry over is specified by payroll constant GLMIN in table T511K. A sample of upper limit of hours for carry over is set to 10h. Any number of hours beyond this upper limit is subject for deduction in the payroll accounting process.

  • M731 (Flextime balance plus).

If Flextime balance plus exceeds upper limit, exceeded time will be carried forward to next month. However, carrying over Flextime balance to next monthly period is not allowed in Japan. Thus the standard setting of the upper limit of Flextime balance is set to 999h to prevent carry over.

When the above-mentioned wagetype is customized or copied to user wagetypes, the influence is exerted on the payroll accounting processing. The reason for it is that the standard wagetypes are specified on the cycle in the payroll accounting process. If you customize or create user wagetype by copying standard wagetype, you should also customize/adjust related cycles and schema (JT00:Processing of Time Data for Payroll Accounting - JAPAN). Relation between standard wagetypes and cycles are listed below.

  4. Copy the above-mentioned standard wagetype to user wagetype if necessary.
  5. Copy the standard cycle which is to be customized/adjusted (J110 to Z110, J14A to Z14A, J15B to Z15B, J16A to Z16A, J162 to Z162, J163 to Z163, J930 to Z930, JD15 to ZD15 and JM15 to ZM15). Then customize/adjust each cycle influenced by customizing the above-mentioned wagetypes.
