CONVERT TEXT

Reference

Syntax

CONVERT TEXT text INTO SORTABLE CODE hex.

Effect

Converts a character string in text to a sortable byte sequence and assigns the result hex. A standard sorting of byte sequences like this produces an order in which the initial fields are sorted by the current locale.
