ABENEXCLUSIVE_LOCK_GLOSRY - EXCLUSIVE LOCK GLOSRY

exclusive lock

Lock that does not allow other users to set simultaneous locks for the exclusively locked data. The statements INSERT, DELETE, MODIFY, and UPDATE, SELECT with the addition FOR UPDATE, and all corresponding Native SQL statements or statements in AMDP methods set corresponding database locks on the rows they address. An exclusive lock is set as an SAP lock by calling a lock function module with the appropriate parameters.
