Purpose

You use this program to extract and deploy content of SAP Application Interface Framework that has been transported from another system.

According to a deployment scenario, the program deploys Customizing and configuration data of one or several AIF interfaces.

The program overwrites existing content.

Integration

This program can deploy AIF content that was collected and compressed using program /AIF/CONTENT_COMPRESS.

Prerequisites

AIF content assigned to a deployment scenario exist.

Features

Selection

  • No automatic registration: The extracted deployment scenario is not registered in the table /AIF/ICD_L_ACT_D. This causes, that no automatic extraction takes place by after import method, when a new version arrives the system. Recommended, when the provisioning of the follow-up-systems is done via transports and not via the content extract.
  • Registration in AIM table: The extracted deployment scenario is registered in table /AIF/ICD_L_AIM_D. This is just for simulation of Zero Downtime behavior. Do not use in combination with "No automatic registration". This can cause data loss.
  • Customizing to be recorded: If this is checked, a field for entering a customizing request appears. So, the extracted customizing (C-table entries) will be automatically recorded into the maintained customizing request.
  • Configuration to be recorded: If this is checked, a field for entering a workbench request appears. So, the extracted configuration (A-table entries) will be automatically recorded into the maintained workbench request.
  • Recording in RFC destination: If this is checked, a field for entering a RFC destination appears.
  • RFC destination: The RFC destination is used to extract and record the content in the target of the RFC destination. This is, if the customizing client and development client is separated.
