/AIF/ERROR_HANDLING_TRANS - Monitoring and Error Handling
SUBST_MERGE_LIST - merge external lists to one complete list with #if... logic for R3up Addresses (Business Address Services)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
You use Monitoring and Error Handling of the SAP Application Interface Framework to get a structured overview of the messages that are generated during data processing in the SAP Application Interface Framework. The transaction offers various selection options (namespace, interface, creation date and time, status, and so on). The underlying source data of the log messages can be edited. Additionally, Monitoring and Error Handling can assist in solving errors if the context of the error is known (for example, which field was checked, what value could not be mapped, and so on).

Features
Selection
There are various selection options provided as follows:
- Application Selection
- The application ID can be inserted. The default value is AIF.
- Application-Specific Selection
- The namespace, interface name, and interface version can be selected. Leaving one of the selection fields empty will result in the selection of all relevant objects. Those values can also be selected by choosing the Select Interface pushbutton. A pop up containing a tree view with all interfaces grouped by namespace is displayed. The selection can be restricted by inserting a message class and a message number.
- Generic Selection
- Only messages that occurred within the selected date range are displayed. Furthermore, it is possible to restrict the selection by inserting a message GUID or file number.
- Status Selection
- Only messages are displayed that have the selected status. You can also choose one of the following two pushbuttons:
- Select All
- To display all messages regardless of status
- Select Errors
- To display just error messages
- Additional Parameters
- When Technical Mode is selected, an additional fifth view is displayed in the error handling. By selecting the emergency correction, all fields can be edited, independent of what was defined in the Customizing activities of the SAP Application Interface Framework.
