Purpose

You use this report to load, compress, and update XML messages of the SAP Application Interface Framework in the database.

From SAP Application Interface Framework 3.0 SP04, the system compresses XML messages automatically before storing them in the database. Still, existing messages are not compressed and may require a lot of storage capacity. This report enables you to compress also the existing messages.

Features

You can specify the scope of messages to be processed by the report.

The report processes the XML messages in packages. By the number of messages per package, you can influence the speed and memory consumption of a compression run. For more information, see Package Size.

The report triggers a background job that you can monitor using the job log.
