/BDL/TASK_SCHEDULER - Processes SDCC tasks as background job /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR

Purpose

Program /BDL/TASK_SCHEDULER is the engine of the Service Data Control Center (SDCC, transaction SDCCN).

Integration

Program /BDL/TASK_SCHEDULER is scheduled as job /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR. It looks up, if there are tasks due in SDCC of type background. If yes, the tasks are processed. For some tasks, a separate job is scheduled as a variant of program /BDL/TASK_SCHEDULER. The job name is concatenated out of '/BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR' and the task ID (which is a 10 digit number).

Output

Besides the job log, in SDCC a task log can be viewed which provides more task specific details.

Activities

The report should be scheduled as an hourly job with a user having the authorizations of role SAP_SDCCN_ALL.

The processing of the job is monitored best in the Service Data Control Center. What the job does in detail can be controlled with the configuration options in SDCC (for example the retention time for service data).
