Purpose

This transaction activates/deactivates the connection to Central User Administration (CUA).

When CUA is inactive, local user maintenance can be carried out without any restrictions.

When CUA is active, local user maintenance can be carried out with restrictions. For more information about restrictions, see the CUA documentation.

Prerequisites

The system is part of a CUA group.

Table /ISDFPS/ALE_SYS is maintained.

Deactivation

Deactivate CUA in exceptional cases only

If a connection to the central system exists (online), the local system entry is deleted from this system and retransferred to the local system.

If no connection to the central system exists (offline), all the CUA settings are deleted from the local system.

Activation

CUA is to be reactivated from the central system, since the full user comparison also has to be carried out from this system.

During the user comparison, all local changes are overwritten; the local administrator must therefore ensure that the CUA administrator is informed of all changes in advance.
