/MRSS/SG_CAPACITY_REPORT - Capacity and Demand Overview

Purpose

You use this report for capacity planning in SAP Multiresource Scheduling. You do this, for example, by comparing the planned capacity and planned demands or by identifying capacity reserves for unplanned demands.

The Capacity and Demand Overview report is also available as a Web-based application.

Prerequisites

Features

Using this report, you can display the total capacity, free capacity and total demand for a given planning node in a given period of time.

You can group demands according to specified criteria, for example, by unassigned demands, assigned demands, or remaining demand reserve.

You can directly access the SAP GUI planning board, for example, if you want to solve conflicts in resource planning by adding capacity or shifting demands.

You can export the results list to an MS Excel file.

Selection

To run the report, start by selecting a planning node. You can either select a superordinate planning node (that is, a planning node with subordinate planning nodes) or a leaf node, that is, the lowest node in the organizational structure.

Note that demands and resources are planned on the level of the leaf node.

You specify the time period by entering a start date and an end date. The start date must be the start of a calendar week and the end date must be the end of a calendar week.

You specify how the results of the report are displayed. To do so, you use the fields that are available in the Selection Options and Display Options areas.

You specify which information is included in the results list. For example, you can specify that the travel time details or the processing time details are displayed.

Standard Variants

Output

The system displays the results according to your selection. If you have selected a superordinate planning node, the system summarizes the results from all subordinate planning nodes.

If the results are displayed in table form, the following applies:

The current calendar week is highlighted.

If there is negative capacity in one calendar week (that is, if the total demand is higher than the total capacity), the respective table cell is displayed in red.

If the results are displayed in chart form, the following applies:

The current calendar week is not highlighted.

If there is negative capacity, the total demand bar is higher than the total capacity bar.
