Purpose

You use this report to generate a functional log that allows you to monitor business objects, such as payment orders, payment items, and collectors, and events related to these objects, such as an increase in the reconciliation date of a payment order.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • You have defined the settings for functional logging in customizing for Advanced Payment Management under Tools -> Logs -> Define Group Settings for Functional Log.
  • You have defined the messages you want the functional log to record in Customizing for Advanced Payment Management under Tools -> Logs -> Define Message Settings for Functional Log.

Features

The Functional Log records messages about a concrete object or an object-related event in the business application log (BAL).

Selection

Object selection

You can determine the objects for which you generate a log by specify the following attributes:

  • Clearing area
  • Object category
  • Object number
  • Object date

Event-related selection

You can specify which processing phase you want to monitor by selecting a component.

Messages

You can specify the message types you want the log to display (success or info).

Restrictions

You can restrict the execution settings for the technical log by selecting the following filter criteria:

  • Date on which the object-related event took place
  • Time at which the object-related event took place
  • User who made or initiated the object-related event
  • Transaction code that was executed
  • Program that was run

Activities

To access this report, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Advanced Payment Management -> Logs ->Display Functional Log.
