Purpose

You use this program in the following business context: When policies are due for renewal, insurance companies usually start the renewal process by notifying the policyholder of the renewal information well in advance of the policy expiry date. If there is no confirmation from the policyholder, insurance companies usually offer a grace period. However, a confirmation from the policyholder is often not received during this grace period. In this case, insurance companies need to perform default actions on such policies. As a policy administrator, you need preconfigured jobs in the insurance system to manage default actions for several insurance policies.

This report is required to set up periodic jobs to execute these default actions in the external system in which the renewal is taking place.

Integration

Prerequisites

• You must have the necessary authorization to execute this program.

• The corresponding SOAP and OData services must be active. SAP delivers an active example implementation in the Business Add-In (BAdI) /PM0/CL_ABT_QU_RNWACT_REM. You can create your own implementation from the standard BAdI to enable your own customer-specific services in Customizing.

You find the BAdI in Customizing for Policy Management under In-Force Business Management -> Basis -> Business Processes -> Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) -> BAdI: Call External Quotation System for Renewal Default Action.
