/SALM/CREATE_TL_VARIANT - Create Task List Variant as Copy

Purpose

This report copies a task-list variant that you can then use.

Integration

All tasks (including header and footer tasks) can be copied. You can use the copied variant when you create a new task list in Change Request Management to control transports and further activities.

Prerequisites

A source variant exists in the system.

Features

The report copies variants at database level without carrying out any checks. The source entries are mapped to the new task-list variant and then written to the database.

The system displays a popup for you to confirm the copy. If you choose No, the copy process is aborted.

If the target variant already exists, the copy process is also aborted. Data is not overwritten or appended.

Selection

Specify the source and target variants, and add a description for the new variant if required.

Standard Variants

A standard variant does not exist.

Output

The system displays messages to inform you whether the copy was successful.
