Purpose

This report deletes records from the DEMAND HISTORY. The DEMAND HISTORY is stored in tables /SAPAPO/DEMHIS and /SAPAPO/DEMBOD (future BOD).

This report can be used for housekeeping. You can delete data records that are older that a certain number of months. For example, you can delete demand data that is older than 48 months.

Starting from the date of execution, the number of months is used to calculate a date in the past. The date in the past is converted into a Period depending on the actual Forecast Periodicity setup (Day/Month/Year). All Demand History older than this Period is removed from the database tables.

You can use this report to reset the demand history data completely. For example, in case you changed the DEMAND HISTORY data storage from 'Persisted' to 'Virtual' it is advisable to clear the DEMAND HISTORY. See note 2912255 'eSPP Capture and Manage Demand' for further explanation.

You can use this report to delete all demand for a range of products. The report removes all demand history from table /SAPAPO/DEMHIS and /SAPAPO/DEMBOD that have these products as original product in the raw demand.

The RAW DEMAND (table /SAPAPO/RAWDEM) itself is not affected by this report.

You can recalculate and restore the DEMAND HISTORY from the RAW DEMAND by the execution of the Demand Alignment Service.
